2 million participants registered in Second Life
Only eight weeks later, after it became aware of the millions of registered users of the online game Second Life , the creators of this virtual world reported on overcoming the two millionth milestone. This is a stunning success game, especially when you consider that the first million registrations had to wait about three years.
Last Thursday the number 2.000.000 was highlighted on the front page of the Second Life website. At the time of this writing, the total number of participants is 2,007,546. Of course, this does not mean that such a number of players “live” in the virtual world - some of them, having registered, have lost interest in the resource and stopped visiting it.
According to Linden Lab estimates, over the past 60 days, about 810,000 people have visited the site. However, the audience resource, as reported by CNet , doubled in two months.
