DigiSole smart insoles will teach how to put a foot correctly and will monitor the owner’s physical activity

“Well, another kilometer, come on, you can!” - hardly anyone expects such exclamations from his own shoes. In principle, the shoes are not yet spoken (or are there swatches?), But smart insoles for shoes of any type have already appeared.

Not so long ago, the Medgadgets blog described a device that allows you to understand whether a person puts a foot correctly when running, after a detailed analysis of a couple of workouts. That runScribe device is equipped with a 7-axis accelerometer, which allows you to analyze in detail the load on the foot when running, jumping, cycling.
')
DigiSole is a simpler (and, therefore, less expensive) runScribe analogue, which allows not only to verify the correctness of the setting of the foot, but also to monitor the physical activity of the owner.

What can DigiSole do?

The main task of DigiSole is to monitor the distribution of weight per foot in order to correct the owner’s footing, if necessary. Usually, incorrect foot setting leads to all sorts of leg problems for people who often go in for athletics. Problems include pain in the legs, stretching the tendons, excessive stress on certain bones and muscles, and the like.

After one or two workouts, DigiSole collects all the necessary information (simultaneously transmitting it to the smartphone via Bluetooth), and the application for the smartphone analyzes the data and visualizes the information received. The result of this work is human-readable graphics and a load distribution map for the foot.

In addition, DigiSole monitors a person’s physical activity, then showing the result to the owner. As in the case of other fitness gadgets, there is the possibility of setting goals and tracking their implementation.

DigiSole specifications

The DigiSole smart insole includes such a device:

According to the developers, the device does not feel leg, the insole comfortably fits to the foot, and there are no problems with wearing shoes with such insoles (the latter are suitable for all types of shoes where insoles are generally used).

The insole is resistant to abrasion, and can last for a long time.

All data is transferred to the application for the smartphone, DigiSole supports work with mobile devices on both Android and iOS.

Price

The cost of a pair of such insoles developers estimate at $ 100 (with the current pre-order). In principle, the price of DigiSole is comparable to the cost of most fitness trackers, with the enhanced functionality of smart insoles.
