The Chinese have learned to "print" kidneys on a 3D printer

Two years ago, Professor Anthony Atala announced that human organs could be “printed” on a special kind of 3D printers. Since then, this statement has become a fact, and on Habré several times there are news that the organs are really typing (for example, ears, and a little changed). Of course, noses and ears are not the most complex organs in the human body, and you can live without ear / hearing, but you cannot live without kidneys. And so, a team of Chinese experts showed that now there is an opportunity to create live human kidneys.

Earlier, the same Anthony Atala showed how you can “print” the kidneys, but they were not alive, that is, they did not function. And Chinese experts came close to the possibility of creating functional human organs. There are problems, of course. The main problem is that artificial kidneys can work no more than four months, and this, of course, is a big problem.

But, as they say, “Moscow was not built right away,” and the creation of human organs is not the easiest process. It may well be that after working on your project, the Chinese (or someone else) will still be able to create kidneys and other organs that are no less functional and viable than those that nature creates. In any case, the beginning of the case is laid, so that the work continues.

Below is the process of creating a kidney + there is an explanation of this process, in English.
