The engine was rewritten from scratch, now it is based on the Garden framework. And I must say that this Garden was written not just anyhow, but in the best traditions of MVC without unnecessary complication or duplication of code, so extending the functionality by writing plug-ins or applications is a real pleasure.
As you can see, all the power of this engine will be in plugins in the future. And although at the moment they are not written very much (about 50), there is already something to choose from.
The authors of the engine build their business model on the provision of support and commercial hosting of forums. Therefore, there are two different sites: vanillaforums.com - for those who install and configure the forum is problematic, and vanillaforums.org - for those who are technicians themselves.
