"Hosting Center" began the execution of a court decision on the illegal use of a logo, similar to the degree of confusion with the logo REG.RU

This is a logo that the Hosting Center used on the website www.hc.ru and in promotional materials. The logo used was similar to the degree of confusion with the REG.RU logo, which is a registered trademark under certificate No. 361213 of October 6, 2008 (priority date of June 22, 2007).

The claim in this case was submitted by us to the Arbitration Court of Moscow back in January 2009, the trial and subsequent cassation proceedings lasted almost a year and a half, until April 7, 2010. The court fully recognized the correctness of REG.RU and obliged the Hosting Center to stop the illegal use of a designation similar to the degree of confusion with the trademark belonging to us, remove this designation from the website www.hc.ru , destroy advertising materials and documentation with designation , to publish a court decision on the committed offense, to pay compensation in the amount of 500,000 rubles.

The Hosting Center has already started the execution of the court decision: the illegally used logo has been removed from the www.hc.ru website, and monetary compensation has been paid for the unlawful use of the trademark.

The logo was removed from the company's blog on Habré. We are grateful to the Hosting Center company for the promptness in the execution of the solution on the main sites.
