Do not think that this is another stupid copy of the beloved by many characters of the same film, created to advertise the children's designer. I also thought so at first, however, after watching the video (it is continued), the opinion has changed dramatically. The thing is that despite some “angularity” of the model, it can transform, just like in the movie (well, maybe a little slower). Almost like a real robot cleaner WALL-E hides like a turtle, and after the transformation is complete, only a box remains in which only avid fans of the film can recognize the robot.
In addition, the robot from Lego is able not only to run for Eva to pretend to be a box, but also to take and carry things, and he does it very interestingly. He can look around and look up. In addition, he rather adequately responds to the sounds that the environment makes. Interestingly, the authors of the development endowed their WALL-E with some degree of autonomy, so it is not necessary to use the remote control function - the robot itself can think of what it can do now. ')
In general, it is surprising how successful the model is, which is created from the usual cubes of the children's designer, plus the not quite children's Lego Mindstorms system, a huge set of various spare parts that an ordinary child could hardly use. Although, who knows, now there are such children that an atomic bomb can be made from this very designer. Somehow, the news that a student in the USA had collected something like a nuclear reactor in his garage from the usual parts, metal and plastic (I don’t remember exactly the essence of the news).
This is how miracles appear, like the WALL-E designer assembled from parts, who can be called a full-fledged robot. Damn, and in my childhood I made clumsy helicopter gunners from the designer who didn’t even have moving parts. But stop talking, it's time to look. The first part is the actual video presentation of the robot, and the second part includes all the episodes that were not included in the mini-movie.
