Priority domain registration of the Russian Federation is suspended
The Coordination Center adopted an amendment to the Regulation on Priority Registration. Now, only those mass media that were registered before the effective date of the Regulation on priority registration - until May 12, 2010 can apply for a domain in the zone of the Russian Federation.
“A serious increase was caused by the rapid growth in the number of applications for registration of electronic periodicals sent to Roskomnadzor, in particular, in whole packages sent from some applicants containing the most popular and commonly used words,” writes KC.
The Coordination Center will start accepting applications not on July 15, as it was stated earlier, but on July 26 at 12:00. During this time, the registration system will be aligned with the latest changes in the Regulations. Domenus.ru accepts preliminary applications in the usual manner, provided that the applicant meets the new requirements.
