Toshiba, why do you need marketers?

I myself work as a marketer, and I understand that you can easily make a mistake in marketing and advertising, and it is not always possible to predict the result of advertising.

However, I often encounter cases of incorrect and unprofessional advertising and marketing moves, past which I simply cannot pass. I decided to write this topic in many thanks to Habra himself, because it was here that I met a cool, vivid, memorable and eye-catching Toshiba advertisement (look, most likely even now, at the time of publication, it burns with many to the right of the topic and above) .

Naturally, I was interested in the opportunity to get a laptop for 12 thousand rubles. from this cool company. So what was my surprise when I discovered that the action was already over! Yes, I saw that it was going for three days, but it couldn’t have occurred to me that these three days were from July 1 to July 3, i.e. the action has already ended for 10 days, but the banner is still hanging. Moreover, although I go to Habr every day, I am not sure that this banner hung on the days of the action and in front of them. I would understand everything if it were just an image banner, but then the emphasis was placed on laptops with a discount of 10 thousand rubles, the guys were not too lazy even did a separate landing-page - and this is for three days!

The first question is: why make a share in which only a few will take part, and most of those who wanted to participate will only be annoyed if they missed the share, in case of? Without a discount of 10 thousand (even if the old beech had to be given in addition) I would not personally take this beech.

Question three: in the media kit Habra it is written that the places where Toshiba banners are located are sold for 1000 impressions. So why should I show this banner a hundred times? There are settings for the number of impressions per visitor.

Of course, now we can say a lot, but the fact remains: I wanted to take part in the action, but it was too late.
