Roskomnadzor stopped squatting in the RF domain
Three days before the opening of the registration of domains of the Russian Federation for the founders of the media, Roskomnadzor decided to draw the attention of the Coordination Center to the increased volume of registrations of electronic media.
“If in April 2010, 3 applications for registration of electronic media were submitted to Roskomnadzor, then in May there were already 36, and in June 2010 the number of such applications increased to 900. At the same time, applications, most of them, contain media titles, consisting of common words, for example - books.rf, flowers.rf, construction.rf and others.
As of July 9, City Media Design registered 51 media certificates, the names of which include the designation of the domain name “.”, OOO Winter, 15 - OOO Publishing House Delo 18, OOO Seasons ”- 18. In addition, about 70 media registered by Lineberger Advisors LLC are in the process of being registered.
Today, the question of changing the Regulation on priority registration will be put to the vote of the Coordination Center Council - it is proposed to leave the priority domain registration right.
I tried to see what kind of media were registered, but, unfortunately, this can be done only by searching - on the Roskomnadzor website there is a search by name , but there is no search by dates. Media with the names "Construction", "Books", "Flowers" have not been registered recently, apparently it was just an example.

But the search for ".rf" gives some results. For example, on July 8 a certain Alexander Minaev from Orel registered at least 15 media outlets:

The irony of fate is that the distribution territory of these mass media is the Oryol region, and for registration. The RF in the priority period requires the presence of the entire Russian Federation as a distribution territory.
