Negros and "Latinos" retain leadership in the use of mobile communication

The May study of the American mobile communications market as part of the Pew Internet & American Life project confirmed the trend that blacks and Latinos (Americans of Spanish origin) use mobile communications much more actively than the white population of the United States.



According to analysts, the active use of mobile devices is inherent in the poorer segments of the population.

By the activity of using mobile services, the situation is slightly different. Here, the “Latinos” lead in all categories: mobile Internet, SMS, games, music, instant messages, social sites, videos and UGC.

If we include in the general picture not only mobile phones, but also laptops, then the picture practically does not change: the white population is again behind. Is that they have a strange tendency to buy a laptop in the absence of a mobile phone (this situation already in 22% of respondents).



Experts Pew Internet & American Life Foundation suggest that the technological superiority of blacks and "Latino" in mobile communications can be attributed to their lower income. Representatives of these populations do not always have a good and high-quality Internet on a home computer, so they close the “digital divide” with mobile devices.
