Patent holding NTP
filed lawsuits in the court of Eastern District of Virginia against Apple, Google, HTC, LG, Microsoft and Motorola.
The holding accuses the company of violating eight of its patents related to the delivery of e-mail over wireless networks. All of the companies mentioned produce devices or software used to work with e-mail through wireless communications.

NTP Holding owns about 50 patents in the field of wireless communications. In 2000, NTP accused Blackberry, the manufacturer of Blackberry smartphones, of infringing a patent for wirelessly sending emails to the company, which in 2005 paid a holding of $ 612 million. In 2007, NTP filed lawsuits against AT & T, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. Lawsuits against these companies are still pending. Licensing agreements have already been concluded with RIM, Good Technology, Nokia and Visto.
