InducTable: futuristic table for geeks

As conceived by the author (for now this is only a concept), this table should be a high-tech symbiosis of the workstation and the dinner table. Of course, most of us went through the stage of turning the workplace into a feeding place with all the consequences (crumbs, spilled coffee, eternal dirt and unwashed plates). Some stayed at this stage, right? In general, in order to save the world to provide comfort to the suffering geeks, the InducTable concept was developed, the details - in continuation.

So, the tabletop of this table is a special induction material covered with thermochromic ceramics. If you really want to eat, then allow, in the middle, we turn on the heat, and fry or boil, or heat up everything your heart desires.

If the lunch time has passed, the plates are set aside (probably the owner of such a table is also the owner of an ultrasonic dishwasher?), And the dining table turns into a workstation with a slight movement of the hand.



Here again, the induction surface comes to the rescue, which "can" without any wires to charge the batteries of devices, large and small, including laptops. You can even light the lamp without the supply of energy over the wire.

In addition, the tabletop is equipped with sensors that determine the position of any object on the tabletop. You can control the table remotely using a special remote control.



I note that this concept is the main nominee for the 2010 James Dyson Award. This award is not handed out just like that, and probably in the near future we can expect such a table in stores. I imagine the truth, how much IT will cost.
