PM Expert webinar report “Preparing for PMP® certification”
In mid-June, an interesting piece of news slipped through the PM Expert newsletter - the company organized a free webinar to prepare for the PMP exam. I registered and decided to listen, the benefit is free and I don’t need to go anywhere.
Briefly about the site: the company took advantage of a proven solution and rented a virtual classroom on v-class.rubased on Lotus (judging by the site’s favicon). Despite the notorious Lotus as a brake and uncomfortable system, the technical equipment was up to par - nothing slowed down, the speaker was well heard, the interactive features worked, in general - the solid five.
The seminar was conducted by Alexander Shavrin
I liked the organization of the webinar. The speaker was assisted by two assistants - one was responsible for technical issues, and the second was serving as secretary, collected questions from the audience, and also answered simple questions (so as not to distract Alexander).
The webinar was very informative, despite the brevity. Topics covered:
1. The sequence of the PMP certification process - 5 min.
2. Requirements for applicants - 5 min.
4. Filling out an application for certification - 15 minutes.
5. Payment of certification - 5 min.
6. Passage of the audit application - 5 minutes.
8. Features of test questions - 15 min.
10. Tips for preparing for the exam - 10 min.
During the seminar, the speaker not only presented the material quickly, briefly and in the case, but answered almost all the questions asked (which, believe me, was enough).
The webinar turned out to be so useful that I decided to return to the application for the exam, already preserved from 2008. Moreover, Alexander answered several questions in an e-mail that appeared after the webinar during the application process.
