With the acquisition of an iPad with a 3G, the problem of choosing the mobile Internet sharply arose in front of me - after all, I want it cheaply and conveniently. In Moscow, with these components, unfortunately, everything is quite difficult - rather rather difficult.
Initially, I wanted to buy Yota Egg for myself, but I still decided to discard this idea - with the “egg” the fact of mobility disappears, and even 3G is not needed at all. So it's time to look at our mobile operators. Looking ahead, I will immediately say that the choice fell on a new service “
BIT ” from “MTS”. But first, my thoughts on why “BIT”, and not something else.
Beeline
Being a Beeline customer for more than five years, I began to look at the tariffs and services of this operator. Beeline quite recently abandoned its very expensive GPRS-packages with prepaid traffic, offering in exchange a cheaper "unlimited" Internet - now in the Moscow region
unlimited Internet costs 390 rubles a month with a connection for 150 rubles. In addition, each session is rounded up to 100kb in a big way, and after 500 MB of traffic, the speed drops to 64kb / s.

Megaphone
MegaFon turned out to be much tastier, but still I was not hooked on anything - except for the “
Unlimited Internet with Opera Mini ” for 210 rubles a month. However, using Opera Mini on the iPad, let's face it, is a bit silly - there is no iPad version, you will have to sit on the big screen with an increased version of the iPhone browser. And for downloading files with chat in messengers, you will have to pay separately. For me, not that again. Others may be satisfied with this option.
Mts
Turn came to the "MTS". Here, too, everything was probably not very attractive, but this week they launched the
BIT service in Moscow, which involves using the Internet with a traffic volume of up to 5 MB per hour (after 5 MB, the speed drops to 32 kb / s) for 250 rubles per month. That is, you can spend more than 120 MB every day, although you will have to stay awake. %)
With the condition that BIT has no restrictions on 15-20 MB per day (as I need), and there is a formal limit of 5 MB per hour, it turns out that you can use mobile Internet even more actively. If you forget about the work and, for example, start to blunt on the "Habré", these 5 MB will be enough to read all the posts from the main, and even something else will remain. Well, or you can (but needlessly) get lost somewhere, and get to civilization using Google or Yandex maps. Anyway, 5 MB per hour is sufficient, if, of course, to use mobile. Why, 640Kb should be enough for everyone! ;)
Aside from jokes, this tariff is only 40 rubles more expensive than MegaFon's “Unlimited with Opera Mini”, but does not have any connection to software and can be used with various Twitter clients and different messengers, which for me is the determining factor. Well, it seems that among our operators only “MTS” issues microsim cards, which is also extremely important to me.
