Ru-Center - now ZAO
A letter quietly fell into the box with a notification about the change of the contractor under my contract with the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Regional Network Information Center" (ANO "RSITS"); those. from the one I used to call nic.ru/RU-CENTER.
Changes in the contract itself and the terms of service in the near future are not likely to follow.
But some conclusions, in my opinion, can be done.
The new contractor is an organization with the exact same name: “Regional Network Information Center”, the only difference is in the organizational and legal form: this is ZAO (closed joint-stock company).
The difference is obvious: the goal of an autonomous non-profit organization can not be profit, but the company - on the contrary, always has such a goal, almost by definition.
Not obvious, and at the moment it’s not completely clear to me what exactly happened. I think this is a division of RU-CENTER into a “regular” registrar (there are a lot of them) and into a “central” organization administering a TLD.
