It would seem that the card was made for purchases in the Internet, and this limit prevents the danger of a one-time withdrawal of a large amount from the account. Actually, this is the very protection, the purpose of which was to create a special virtual card.

Now the situation - I need to book a hotel in Europe for a long time. The price for a family for the whole stay is more than the above mentioned limit. The hotel at the time of booking makes a pre-authorization of the card, trying to temporarily block the amount of the reservation, to be sure of the client's solvency. Well, if it is necessary - let them block. After successful blocking, they release the amount, and you can return the money to the main account and withdraw cash (it's easier for me). Naturally, I transferred the necessary sum to ec @ rd, having forgotten about this limit. And I could not return it back. Those. it turned out only a part that does not exceed the limit.

The bank said that it is impossible to do anything, and will have to wait for the next month to collect the balance. I wrote a tearful statement that I would not have enough money for the trip, etc. Anyway, the technical ability to return the money they did not have. Then they called in half an hour and said that there was only one option: an urgent issue of an additional card to the account ec @ rd. Because leave the day after tomorrow - I agree. It costs 1000 rubles for an urgency plus the price of an additional VISA Classic 350. Call after 2 hours: the card is ready, but it was necessary to make not an “urgent”, but an “emergency” release, and it cost (information after the fact) 3000 rubles plus the card price.

It is clear that he himself is to blame, but the price of a mistake is too big. It would seem that something easier - the client wants to take their own money. Why can not this be done even with a personal presence?
