Now, when many phones and cameras are equipped with GPS, it is not interesting to show just pictures from the trip. I want to tell and show exactly where it was shot, and other travelers will come in handy.
All this is already wonderful and perfectly implemented in Yandex.Maps and Yandex.Files, it remains only to insert the resulting map into your blog. But here I was disappointed - this functionality is not there. All photos (apparently moderated) with an additional layer are shown on Yandex.Maps, and I only need my own. On Yandex. Photos - you can neither get a link to get a card, nor insert it into your blog.
But, of course, there is no point in implementing everything myself, and I made a small mashup (using both services, since everyone has a public API) -
Evermap (the domain is
strayed , the name is appropriate). Mashup allows you to get a widget from any of your albums on Yandex. Photos and display it on Yandex. Maps, right on your blog or on the site. For example, like
here (demo page on the people).
PS Due to the limitations of LiveJournal (iframe tag is not allowed) and IE8 (cross-domain requests for html documents in the object tag are prohibited), the widget for LJ does not work in IE8.
')
PPS Yandex itself had a similar tool, called Photomapper. But they just recently closed it. Here you can read his description. But he was not comfortable enough, required to obtain a key for your site (which is impossible for blogging platforms).
