The Japanese have created a mobile scanner

Somewhere in the mid-90s of the last century, I saw a scanner for the first time. For me it was a miracle of miracles that translated ordinary text or drawing into an electronic form. In general, I treated the scanner with great respect. Of course, after some time, having become accustomed, the scanner ceased for me to be part of the Kabbalistic act and turned into what it should be - into an ordinary tool for work. Since then, the technique has gone far ahead, but the scanners remained about the same. But now we can establish ourselves in the idea that miniaturization owns the world - the Japanese have created another technological miracle, a mobile scanner.

This scanner has a very small size: 254x30x28 millimeters, and it weighs almost like a pack of oil, even less - 212 grams. It is powered by ordinary AA batteries, the benefit, the power consumption of the scanner is very low.

The scanner also found space for a memory card, and it can scan images with dimensions of 21 * 127 centimeters maximum. Scan resolution is 300 or 600 points.

A pair of batteries allows you to scan about 100 pages in color mode or about 150 pages in monochrome. Transfer scanned images to a PC via a standard USB cable.

The price of the device is quite high - $ 181. In general, all the scanner is good, except for the price. Just after getting acquainted with the price, I had a question - would anyone buy this, or would they prefer to use a conventional digital soap box?

Who can think of a way to use this device so that it cannot duplicate the functions of the camera?

Yes, more detailed information on the device here .
