Well, we waited for the time when in Russia the mobile computer (read, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) became the main device for accessing the Internet, and not the desktop. Already this year, the revenue of mobile operators from the Internet access service
will exceed the revenue of fixed broadband providers (60 billion rubles), according to a recent report by J'son & Partners Consulting.

According to J & P estimates, by the end of 2010 there will be 13.6 million active 3G users in Russia (up from 5.8 million at the end of 2009).
Interestingly, most users now use USB modems, not 3G phones. The share of 3G traffic via USB modems in total 3G traffic averages about 80% in 2009.

By 2013, the number of ground broadband connections in Russia will double compared with 2009 to 30.8 million (penetration 54.8%). “On the other hand, by this time the number of 3G / 4G mobile users will exceed 71 million, i.e. half of Russia's population, ”wrote J'son & Partners analysts. They assume that a significant part of subscribers (50-75%) will use both land and cellular channels in parallel to access the Network.
