All owners of Heroes waited a long time for the official firmware Android 2.1. Well, including me. After a week of use, I realized that the new firmware brought me only disappointment. Either I am one such loser, or everyone is silent, realizing that they received several things that they did not expect. But still I will express my opinion on the new firmware.
Terrible brakes compared to the original 1.5. This is especially evident when opening the address book. Opening a list of recent calls takes 4-5 seconds, which is unacceptable. Also, brakes are observed when opening SMS. I associate this to some extent with the fact that most of my contacts in contacts have a photo (here Google’s sincere gratitude for the incentive to deal with the address book). I do not see any other explanations.
The battery sits very quickly. If earlier it was enough for a day and a half, now it barely keeps it for a day.
When synchronization has become more traffic fly away. I have no limit, but still unpleasant. Yes, and 3G energy eats well.
Actually, I was waiting for updates in the hope that the above paragraph will improve, but it turned out the opposite. As a result, I received some dubious innovations (I don’t see any joy in animated wallpaper and the deployment of desktops) and deterioration in priority parameters. My opinion is that the hardware in HTC Hero doesn’t pull 2.1 and this update was completely superfluous. I don’t think that HTC’s programs are so Krivorukov, most likely under pressure from management (on which public opinion pressured) they squeezed out of the Hero everything they could. For this they honor and praise. But it became uncomfortable and unpleasant to use your favorite phone, alas.
