Ran past the assembly table on Friday, the engineers screwed their ears to the next batch of equipment. Could not resist, here are photos of Extreme Summit X650 . Each port - 10GB. Three times faster than SATA2 / 300, one and a half times faster than SATA3 / 600. Each switch gives a total of 240 gigabits. They are combined into a stack (a photo of a cable and a connector under the cut).
Two switches give slightly less than half a terabit per second. SFPs have not arrived yet, so while there are stubborn rubber plugs. Alas.
