Microsoft recognized the failure of its phone

According to guardian.co.uk, Microsoft refuses plans to launch selling its Kin phone in Europe in the fall. Instead, the company's efforts will focus on the next smartphone, Windows Phone 7.

Most likely, the reason for this is the failure of Kin'a in the US market, despite the abundance of advertising on television, radio, online and in print. One reason for the failure of analysts called the tariff grid operator Verizon.

Microsoft's abandonment of Kin sales plans in Europe shows that it will be difficult for companies to keep the current share of the smartphone market. Now from this share rapidly bite off the iPhone and Android-phones. Nokia still remains the leader of the smartphone market, RIM (BlackBerry maker) comes in second place.

In my opinion, quite an expected result: Microsoft just missed the moment (probably doing Win7). I would not be surprised if Nokia will soon lose its leading position - there is an impression that an important moment was shed by ears too.

On the other hand, it is worth remembering that after the failure of Windows Vista, the company issued quite successful Windows 7.

As for Kin, I had my own interest in it - if I am not mistaken, the only phone on the first-generation NVIDIA Tegra chip. However, even this would hardly have prompted me to buy: too specific target audience for this device.
