Posterous launched a tool to import blogs from LiveJournal

Posterous , a blogging platform that positions itself as the simplest platform for publishing web content, launched a new functionality yesterday that allows you to import blogs from LiveJournal. I was asked to tell about it, as Russian users should be interested in this news.

Posterous is a startup launched in the wake of the so-called simple blogging, the essence of which is to enable users to easily publish on their blogs a wide variety of content through a web editor, sending posts via email or using mobile applications.

In June, Posterous launched a campaign to massively entice users of aging blogging platforms to themselves, rolling out functionality for importing from one platform every day for 15 days. Now it is the turn of LiveJournal, which is especially important for Russia, where this “dinosaur” has the strongest positions.

At the same time, Posterous is ideal for the format of everyday writing, which usually publishes Russian blogs about everything in the world at once. Now those users who are tired of the cumbersome interface of LiveJournal can transfer their blogs to Posterous if they want to write further with less effort. There is, of course, a problem: since LiveJournal does not support RSS feeds for comments, comments cannot be transferred. But anyway, if LiveJournal became really hard at all, then you can move, especially if you manage to entice your friends to the same place.
