Money as a means of non-financial encouragement

Increasingly, blogs are found adsense adsense blocks and competing services. Hardly in most cases, by placing ads on their pages, bloggers get a tangible income. It seems to me that the dollars and cents that are dripping into the account have a rather intangible stimulating effect - they are perceived like the post rating system used in Habré, Digge and other similar services. Just delivering more moments is fun blogging.

After all, the majority of popular blog hosting sites still lack a voting system for posts - only in the comments can visitors express their attitude. But not everyone can do it, even when they want - and comments like “+1” appear. In addition, writing a comment requires more effort than a simple click on an advertising link.

Having penetrated with the simple and effective idea of Adsense, I have long been catching on to desire after reading an interesting blog post, to choose some interesting item from the advertising links present and click on it. It's not hard for me - and a person who has spent his time on a blog is nice. Besides, often, by clicking on the advertising link, I quite unexpectedly find out something interesting and useful for myself - it helps to break out of the usual range of information consumed on certain topics. (Generally, there is no unhealthy information - just the utility coefficient is different, but this is another topic.) Therefore, it turns out that the advertiser is not at all - he received a visitor who read his advertising message to his website - and then everything is in his hands.

The opinion of bloggers who host Adsense or something similar is interesting - is my assumption that the money flowing into the account has an intangible, encouraging value for you? Or is it still a means of earning?

I understand that “immateriality” in relation to money sounds strange, but still?
