I want to please all owners of HTC Desire (and not only) - a few hours ago on the
XDA-developers forum was
posted firmware , fully assembled from source (AOSP - Android Open Source Project), and not ported from Nexus One firmware.
This means that start-ups based on source codes have been launched, which theoretically promises a more stable and faster firmware for our gadgets. At the moment, the version has the number 1.1 (compared to 1.0 added Google applications), version 1.1a promises the appearance of SuperUser (root access).
The video camera and FM do not work yet, as well as on the ported assemblies, but it all depends on how soon HTC releases a new version of the firmware radio.
Now there is a process of downloading / installing the firmware on my device, I will write about the results.
UPD: On my device, the firmware did not go, but I suspect that the ext4 partition is to blame, the firmware is without A2SD. Meanwhile, the firmware has been updated to version 1.1c, added:
- A2SD + (
so far without ext4 support, I'll wait a bit more ) - Superuser
- SpareParts
- Healed minor bugs.
I managed to deliver 1.1s, but A2SD +, apparently, is not working yet (AdamG, the creator of the firmware,
confirms this and promises a fix), but now at least the ext4 partition does not interfere with the download.
In addition, in the next version after 1.1s, the long-awaited support for video recording is promised!
