Before the recent release of version 1.1 for the Maemo platform, one of the developers (Mark Finkle) shared his plans for the next major version in his blog . So, what awaits us:
The biggest innovation is the integration of Electrolysis projects (using multiple processes for parallel drawing of the interface and tabs content, isolation of plug-ins; already used in the desktop version of the browser) and Layers (acceleration performed as an abstract level above the hardware API, which ensures cross-platform technology)
Android version
Multitouch
Virtual keyboard
Enhanced synchronization and work with history (the actual history of visits, saving the session, opening tabs from the history)
Integration with contacts, as well as deeper integration into the system
RSS and WebApp support
A lot of trivia (effects and interface refinement, search on the page, etc.)
And, of course, stabilizing the code and reducing power consumption.
Unfortunately, there is no data on the release date, but it promises to be tasty.
