SanDisk has released a flash card with a hundred year warranty.
SanDisk introduced a 1 GB Secure Digital flash card that can store information for up to 100 years. You can write files to a WORM card (write once, read many) only once.
The life of the flash card is based on internal tests of accelerated aging, carried out at room temperature, protection from moisture and static electricity.
These products are proposed to use government agencies, archives, law enforcement agencies. An agreement has already been reached on the supply of a large batch of WORM flash cards for the Japanese police, which will replace microfilm with this technology. ')
The manufacturer itself is positioning the card as a one-time DVD-RAM disc, only smaller and with a much longer lifespan.
