Hello,% user_name%! This review is devoted to another netbook from ASUS, namely the
Eee PC 1001PX . This netbook features a matte case and 9 hours of battery life.

Specifications
Specifications are quite standard for netbooks 2009-2010:
Processor : Intel Atom N450, 1.60 GHz
Graphics card : integrated, Intel GMA 3150
RAM : 1 GB
Wi-Fi : yes

')
Appearance
The netbook is assembled from sturdy plastic with a carbon fiber texture and, attention, is absolutely not glossy. You will not believe it, but on the gadget there is not a single glossy part (except for the touchpad button, made under chrome and the on / off button made under it).

Unfortunately, there are only slightly visible fingerprints on the lid, which are almost invisible:

On the right side are the USB port, the Ethernet connector, the lock connector and the dual headphone / microphone connector.

On the left side are the VGA connector for an external monitor, a second USB port, a power cord connector, an SD card slot and air vents:

SD card slot:

From the bottom you can see the rubber feet, speaker slots, battery lock buttons, the battery itself and the cover on the screw that covers the RAM:

Keyboard
It is extremely convenient, even Ctrl is to the left of Fn. Everything is good, except for small Enter and small buttons up and down

4 LEDs: power on, battery status, hard drive, wireless network.
Touchpad
It is also convenient, has a multitouch, supports gestures with fingers and does not get dirty.

However, the dual button is styled as chrome (why?) And is very dirty. Although a couple of movements with a cloth (or finger) destroy prints (for a while).
Screen
It is bright and generally qualitative, but the resolution is not enough. Very pleased that it is completely matte.

Working hours
The device works from a standard battery (with the waffle switched off and 60% illuminated, while working with the network, programming, watching a movie) for as long as 7.5 hours. Compared to my last beech (MSI Wind u120) which worked for 2 hours, this is just paradise.
Performance
I do not know Satan-programs for measuring performance, therefore I will say about personal feelings:
• Not very big HD-movie 720p (2 gigabytes, South Park: Big long uncut) mplayer (Ubuntu 10.04) pulls a bang
• Standard movies (HD, BD, DVD rips in the size of 1-4 gigabytes) pulls great
• OpenOffice works well (as well as Microsoft Office)
• Google Chrome works fast with 10-15 tabs open
• Games created before 2001-2003, such as Micro Flight 5 (flight simulator), Mario Forever 4, Doom 1.2, also work quite well
• Ubuntu 10.04 in the graph. the mode loads in 25 seconds (including the desktop and everything from autoload), in the console mode - 15 seconds
• Windows XP Service Pack 3 loads on average in 45-50 seconds
• Both systems eat out of hand, but due to the dual headphone / microphone jack, Ubuntu doesn’t sound in headphones, only in speakers.
Speakers
The sound in the speakers is what you need: loud, distinct, thick. Solid five
Cost of
Price incredibly happy: it varies from 10,500 to 11,000 rubles. I bought a netbook in a 15-inch store, which is in St. Petersburg, for 10,500 rubles.
Total
The final score - 8 points on a 10-point scale. One ball for the touchpad throw off, the second - for the dual port.
Thanks for attention.
