Nokia refuses Symbian in N-series in favor of MeeGo
According to Reuters , the upcoming Nokia N8 will be the first smartphone with Symbian ^ 3 and ... the latest N-series phone with Symbian.
High market competition (iPhone, Android, WebOS) pushed Nokia to transfer the flagship series to a joint project with Intel - MeeGo. Dates of exit of devices with MeeGo are not assigned, since it is still not ready to “shoot”, but version 1.1 is expected by October, adapted for devices with touchscreens (Internet tablets, communicators).
