Support for versions 7.4 and 8.0 is terminated.

The next PostgreSQL release will be the latest for versions 7.4 and 8.0, according to the server version technical support plan announced in December. We strongly advise users of these versions to start planning to migrate to the latest versions now.

Updates for versions 8.1 will cease to be released in November, so users of this version should schedule an update this year.

Despite the fact that we regret the inconvenience to users, the community is limited in resources and time to support the old versions. Work on older versions takes a lot of time from developers working on new features. Users who are not in a position to update the software for any reason should take care of porting new patches in advance, possibly using the services of commercial companies .
