Editorial NOMOBILE recently prepared a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i video review.
I want to add it a little. ')
A lot of speaker boom - they say, the interlocutor is not audible during a conversation. Honestly, I do not know where it came from - in my sample with the speaker everything is in order. Well, anything can happen.
Nevertheless, I can not resist: here are three things that annoy me the most in SE Xperia X10i (not counting, of course, the weak battery, the ancient version of the platform with all the consequences, the lack of multitouch and flash in the browser)
1. Timescape. The idea is good, but the implementation - unfortunately! - just put out the light. It turns out that it is impossible to use one of the main features of the smartphone.
It looks beautiful, but:
- If you put the Timescape widget on the main screen (logical, right?), It will show the last event. In the case of SMS it may be stupidly pale. And not only in the case of SMS.
- Opens with special effects, but very long. Every time to wait, while on the screen translucent rectangles fly - well, at no gate.
- During the update (especially when it sucks them from three sources: Twitter, Facebook and Vkontakte) Timescape begins to slow down the entire system.
- Bug with tweets: if they are written in Cyrillic, Timescape does not show spaces between words.
- If the text does not fit in the field (and even the maximum length tweet does not fit there), it is completely suggested to view it in a third-party application (by default, in the browser). Rave.
- When you update the status - it is updated immediately in all networks in which you are logged in. That is, a tweet, a post on Facebook and a Facebook account status are published simultaneously. Photo attach, of course, impossible.
- Avatars, which Timescape automatically loads, interfere with reading the text.
2. Mediascape. This is a program for playing music, video and viewing photos. Replaces the standard. Claims to the musical part.
- Sometimes trouble happens with ID3 tags Cyrillic.
- There is no access to the status bar (well, which is on the android at the top of the screen and it can be expanded from there) when the player application is on the screen.
- There are no equalizers (they, it seems, are not even in any Android-smartphone yet).
- X10 can download album covers, but ONLY via Wi-Fi. Pictures do not “stick” to the music tracks and are lost if you take a memory card from your smartphone and insert it again.
- No widget to control the player from the screen in standby mode.
- There are no player control buttons on the lock screen (as in HTC Sense).
3. Answers to USSD requests (if they are Cyrillic) come like this:
No comments. Absolutely the same thing - in X10 mini and mini pro. For "Megaphone" and MTS promised to correct, Beeline is not treated.
Such pies.
Surprisingly, with the SE X10 mini and X10 mini pro smartphones, most of these bugs are caught and fixed. And in general, these two devices, for all their decoration, produce the impression of much prettier, more complete and ... uh ... polished products.
