We, the Megaplan company, would like to clarify and state the facts that caused the
stormy discussions at Habré .
Megaplan was the general partner of the Baikal Internet Conference (BIF-2010).At the stage of preliminary negotiations on partnership, there was an agreement with the organizers that Megaplan would provide all participants with free test use of the system and register them independently (the organizers would provide a base) in order not to waste the time of participants on filling in the registration fields. These arrangements were enshrined in writing. So that all the unwritten rules of Internet communications were observed and “there were chiki-packs”, we agreed that a “tick” will appear on the BIF website that the registrant agrees to receive departures from the organizers and official partners of the BIF. There was no document about the “tick” (well, it’s impossible to fix every sneeze and scratching ... we are a partner, not a co-organizer or a performer, and it’s not our prerogative to require and control the observance of generally accepted procedures).
')
Further, as planned
, our representative Kirill Przhnikk, Sales Director, announced from the BIF rostrum that all participants will be provided with free 30-day access to the system.
At the end of the BIF, the organizers had to send out an information letter. This is a standard procedure - to express gratitude to all participants and visitors. In this information message we had to inform about the upcoming registration in our system (we agreed on this). Unfortunately, the organizers did not send out the newsletters, and we, alas, did not check it. We were informed that the mailing will go away on the night of June 21-22 and we found this time appropriate for sending Megaplan registration data (logins, passwords, and a brief instruction “what to do next”).
By the way, we
already announced a gift and upcoming registration in our blog. Also passed the information, labeled with the BIF hash tag
in corporate twitter and
facebook .
Megaplan undertakes to no longer use the address database obtained from the organizers of the BIF, but “it’s impossible to turn the stuffing back and you can’t restore meat from cutlets”: all conference participants are already registered in Megaplan. If you do not want your data to remain in our system, email us at
support@megaplan.ru or call (495) 221-69-58 and ask for "proactively remove you from the system." In any case, if you do not use Megaplan, all your data will be automatically deleted from our system after 3 months.
We are glad that such an active Internet community is in Irkutsk, that any mistake does not pass unnoticed. We regret that she contributed to the increase in information noise throughout the Internet.
Respectfully,
Mikhail Smolyanov,
Director of the company Megaplan
