FSB has developed a new order of blocking sites
As is known, a special interdepartmental working group at the Ministry of Communications is now actively discussing what changes should be made to various laws of the Russian Federation in connection with the spread of the Internet. The changes will be serious, it is planned to modify including the laws “On Communications”, “On Mass Media”, “On Consumer Rights Protection”, the Criminal Code, the Civil Code, etc. In general, the lawmakers took the regulation seriously.
A week ago, it was reported that four new articles will be added to the law “On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection”.

2. "Suspension (blocking) of access to information distributed on the Internet, and (or) its distribution."
3. "Basics of the legal regime of domain names."
4. “Responsibilities of domain registrars during operational search activities, measures to ensure the security of the Russian Federation and the implementation of investigative actions.”
The second of these points - the procedure for blocking access to information has been developed taking into account the proposals of the FSB . The new mechanism assumes that the operator of Internet services will suspend users' access to information posted on the Internet and (or) its distribution based on the submission of the prosecutor within three days. At the same time, the right holders will have to contact the prosecutor’s office if they want any content on the Internet to be blocked.
