HP has issued a statement that is not going to give up smartphones with webOS!
The company promises that the existing Palm mobile phones will not only remain on the market, but new smartphones will already be released, which will be part of the global
webOS promotion strategy. HP notes that webOS will be used in
tablets, printers and, of course, in smartphones . The company is confident that webOS will become the core of many small HP devices.
The source reports referring to one of the participants of the
PreCentral forum that the company plans to release new devices with the Palm logo on the case.
Although the representative of the company, who remained unnamed, was unable to disclose the details of the plans, he said that work on new products continues. Including, is the development of new devices and the
new version of webOS .
Palm is enthusiastic about the HP deal. This is because HP has enough resources that can be invested in development. The results of today's Palm experts will be visible when the takeover takes place. Presumably, the emergence of new products is scheduled for next year.
In fact, according to many reviews webOS is an excellent operating system. If you look at the first generation of the Palm Pre phones on webOS, their user interface was excellent, only too slow.
And for the serious competition with the Apple iPhone and Google Android, the Palm company simply did not have enough money. That is why Palm Pre smartphones are sold mainly in the US, and Palm still has no resources to organize their sales all over the world (including Russia) and an aggressive advertising company.
Now, thanks to HP resource support, new, more advanced models of smartphones on webOS may appear and their sales can be organized all over the world - including Russia :)
