Distance measurement in Google Maps Labs

Google Maps Labs has a new feature that was previously available as a mapplet : a distance measurement tool.



After enabling this feature, you will notice a small ruler at the bottom of the map. Clicking on this line, you can use the distance measurement tool. You just need to pave the desired route by clicking on the points of its beginning and end.

So, for example, an approximate measurement of the distance between Amsterdam and Strasbourg looks like:
