Pay taxes through WebMoney - and sleep well
On June 11, 2010, the State Duma adopted in its first reading the draft law No. 342098-5 “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation in connection with the adoption of the Federal Law“ On the General Principles of the Organization of State (Municipal) Services and the Execution of State (Municipal) Functions ” ". In paragraph 3 of article 45 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation , subparagraph 7 is proposed to be introduced:

In other words, it will be possible to pay taxes through any payment system, including WebMoney and Yandex.Money, as well as through payment terminals, just as utility payments and cellular communications are being paid.
According to experts , the fate of this amendment is still in question. It can be opposed by the Federal Tax Service and the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes. The FTS says that “in its current form and with today's instructions it will not be able to administer such transfers,” and the budget committee officially commented that “the amendments are of a rather large scale and affect the fundamentals of tax administration.”
However, the main support for the bill is provided by the Ministry of Economic Development. They believe that it is necessary to maximize the use of electronic payments in Russia, because it is extremely useful for the economy as a whole. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade hopes that the rules on electronic acceptance of tax payments will nevertheless be adopted in 2010 and will come into force next year.
