Yesterday I finally put Drupal 7 on my hosting and was very surprised at how well and seriously reworked one of the most popular content management systems. A lot of new products, new features, rethought concepts about the essence of content in the new Drupal made me look for a list of its differences from previous versions.
AHAH helper Allows Drupal modules to use AHAH / AJAX functionality without working with JavaScript. The functionality is wrapped in a new AJAX framework in D7, based on Earl Miles' CTools.
Autoload Includes lazy-load support for any classes that have not been loaded before.
Auto Menu Title, AutomaticMenu, Auto Menu When creating new content, Drupal 7 automatically makes the menu title link as the title node, while allowing it to be edited.
Admin: hover, Block edit One of the improvements that foreshadow Drupal’s success in the future: Edit links on everything. The new Contextual links module in Drupal 7 will allow you to edit the elements on the page you are looking at, that is, you have direct access to "Edit" and "Delete" for content, or "Configure" pages for blocks, "List links" for menu , blocks and so on.
These are just some of the most interesting points implemented right into the core of the system: ')
