Victor Petrik, Doctor of Technical Sciences, filed a number of claims on the protection of business reputation of the media, which criticized his inventions. As is known, Petrik invented a revolutionary technology for purifying “radioactive” water in collaboration with the State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov. Negative publications in the Russian press “undermined the business” of his company, Golden Formula Holding LLC. As proof of the claim attached letters of buyers and dealers, which recently significantly reduced the purchase of water filters.

The lawsuit is addressed to the correspondent of "Rosbalt" Yevgeny Zubarev, from whom Petrik wants to receive 21 million lost profits. In addition, the lawsuit brought claims against Novaya Gazeta Publishing House CJSC, Komsomolskaya Pravda Publishing House CJSC, 100 TV channel and The Wall Street Journal newspaper (1 million rubles each). The first hearing in the Kuibyshev Federal Court of St. Petersburg was held yesterday, the next one is scheduled for July 13.
