First call of Beltelecom

Today I received the first call from Beltelecom. The girl from the “commercial department” called for work, introduced herself by her patronymic name.

The girl said that Beltelecom was obliged to collect data on the “information networks” of their clients. Also reported that this is a mandatory requirement of the decree number 60.

When I asked what would happen if I refused to answer her questions, she replied that "we will not be able to provide you with services." Again, Decree No. 60 does not say anything about “punishment” for refusing to “collect data”. In the end, after my questions, the girl gave up and said that "you understand, we were obliged - we are doing and are obliged to submit a report." Here, in this phrase, the whole Belarusian reality is simply reflected - “we are obliged to do it”. Nobody thinks about the meaning.

So, what in the opinion of our marvelous lawmakers is included in the concept of “data on information networks”? So, all these data are in: Name of the organization, legal address, e-mail, date and number of state registration and the number of the contract with the BTK.

')

Somehow it is not clear that they want to learn from this data for the development of our native Internet. What to systematize? It is also surprising that all this information is in the contract signed with Beltelecom. Is it really difficult to make a query to the database, which will collect them from all customers?

In conclusion, I want to pay tribute to the girl - she calmly and culturally communicated with me, left a pleasant impression.
