Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) is coming.
The first test version of the new Ubuntu release has been released. The fact that in October will be Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon now has the code name Ubuntu Tribe 1 and is available for download.
The main innovations are the use of the kernel 2.6.22-rc3 and Gnome 2.19.2, which shows that the kernel 2.6.22 will enter at 7.10 (2.6.22 is unlikely to be released by 2.6.23 :)) and Gnome 2.20.x.
Gusty Gibbon plans to switch to XOrg 7.3 and use the new graphical configuration utility for the X-server displayconfig-gtk.
