The other day, Adobe
released a statement that by 2012 the Flash Player will be on more than 250 million smartphones. And this is despite Apple’s ban on using it in iOS.
As Anup Muraka, Adobe's technology development director, said, Flash may not be available on the iPhone and iPad, but in any case, Adobe is seeing an increase in the popularity of Flash.
As for the current year, experts predict that in 2010 more than 200 million smartphones will be sold and approximately 10% of them will be with Flash.

The release version of Flash Player 10.1 will be available soon on the Android Froyo 2.2 platform. Also, according to Muraki, Flash will not only be on Android. Consumers will see devices on Palm, Blackberry, Symbian and Windows Phone 7, which will fully support Flash Player.
Interestingly, the income from Flash Player (which itself is free, but is monetized by the tools sold) accounts for about 6% of all Adobe revenue.
