According to the
New York Times , Coca-Cola this month launches a social network for teens in the United States called Sprite Yard. Users of the new service will be able to set up a personal profile, chat with friends via online chat, and share photos. Interestingly, the social network is designed to use a mobile phone.
By purchasing a Sprite bottle and entering the code under the lid, the Sprite Yard user will be able to get original content, for example, a cool ringtone, or a short video clip.
Last week, Sprite Yard was launched in China and Coca-Cola plans to expand this promotion globally and not be limited to just one brand of soda. Currently, Sprite Yard works only on mobile phones - according to the marketing team, Sprite is the most convenient option for teens.
Everything is just fine, but, as it seems to me, the Coca-Cola company, when creating the Sprite Yard, did not think about the parents of teenagers spending not two and three dozen dollars a month on the phone ... However, let's wait and see.
