VirtualBox 3.2: you can now run MacOS X in a virtual machine. Under windows and linux
Unexpectedly, the release of the new version of virtualbox, in which for the first time the opportunity to run MacOS X in a virtual machine, appeared quietly. Officially. From the original disk. Not hakintosh.
About license issues
The MacOS license agreement imposes two restrictions:
Only MacOS X Server can be installed in the virtual machine. In this case, you can physically install a regular version, but this will violate the license agreement.
A virtual machine with MacOS X Server installed can be run only on Apple computers. Again, it can be physically run on any computer (but if the processor is not in the list of those using the apple - for example, Pentium D, AMD or i3 - then you will have to use a tambourine), but this license agreement also violates.

About compatibility issues
At the moment, the support is experimental. In particular, Oracle has not yet made guest additions - a set of drivers that are installed on the OS in a virtual machine and allow it to comfortably use the physical hardware of the computer. Without Guest Additions in the installed Mac OS X problems with changing the resolution, there is no grid and sound (at least according to reviews. My network works for me). The developers say that soon everything will be.
How to install
The process of using on windows / linux is not as obvious as on Mac OS. What you need to do in order to get a working Mac OS X in a virtual machine running not on MacOS. For example, install the virtualbox on Windows 7 64-bit. What should be done:
Download and install the latest virtualbox from the official site. There were a few fixes without changing the version, so even if you have release 3.2.4, it can be fatal for MacOS bugs
We start virtualbox and create a virtual machine with the name “MacOS”, specify the guest OS Mac OS X Server, the rest by default.
Open the settings of the created virtual machine. In the drive settings, if SATA is present, change it to IDE (ICH6). In the same place for the CD-ROM drive, set the tick "passthrough" - without this, the virtual machine under windows will not be able to boot from the MacOS X installation CD.
