Pitfalls when choosing a hoster
Professionals are certainly familiar with all the nuances of setting up a site on a hosting, so I publish my note in a personal blog, on the one hand to warn newbies about possible problems and on the other hand not to incur the wrath of professionals, who of course know all these things for a long time.

Not so long ago, I was faced with the task of choosing a new hosting for my Russian Creators project. The task is not the most difficult, given the small attendance, a maximum of 1,000 people per day. Having read several topics on Habré about the choice of hosting, I stopped at Infobox. I wrote to the support service, gave them the necessary data and chose the option of hosting the site on a virtual dedicated server at a rate of 2,600 rubles per month. Having received the invoice from them and having paid it in Sberbank, I plunged into the most genuine Russian service.

The most important rule that stems from my experience of communicating with the Infobox support service is to never listen to the helpdesk's advice on choosing a tariff plan. They advise, then they call with apologies that they give the wrong advice, promise to sort it out and send an apology letter for the delay. If it comes to Friday, then a letter arrives that you must wait until Monday. Today is my second such Friday.
In my case, it turned out that the version of SQL Server that is installed by default does not support a database of 15 Gb in size and I can use the kindly provided software rental option. At first I was offered a user license, the cost of 450 rubles per month, then it turned out that the support service had mixed everything up and I needed a processor license. As a result, the cost of hosting has increased from 2,600 rubles a month to 3,500 rubles with a lump sum payment in the amount of 3,000 rubles for installing the necessary software.
Let's see what will happen next, but now I can say that all the tables in the comparative reviews are not worth a penny, because the price of site placement can increase by at least a third at any time. I realize that I am new to this business and, perhaps, now I am writing about obvious things, but I hope that it may be useful for someone. Good luck!
