There is a market for ERP-systems. Big, sort of like a growing market (now, however, it is very doubtful that it is growing). Every year, some smart guys evaluate it, publish scary figures for perception. On the market there is a certain amount of some software products, the number of which can be counted. These are the products of this market. And what can these products?
Last year this question was intended to be covered by the chief editor of PCMagazine / RE. And here the review of ERP systems starts to be published. The first part is published at pcmag.ru/solutions/detail.php?ID=40193. The second at pcmag.ru/solutions/detail.php?ID=41552. I will not repeat here about how exactly we did this publication with the publication. I can only say one thing - they did it for an adult. I was not the initiator of the review, although I was asked to be the main expert. This same “position” was offered to other professional market participants, but only I agreed. Apparently, because it is free.
With the onset of the crisis, everyone began to shout in anticipation of the "boxiness" of their products. That is, you take, install and work. It is understandable, because this is what a potential client wants from the manufacturer and is perplexed when he is asked to pay for “improvements”, which you wouldn’t call the “invention of a bicycle” otherwise. So every next client pays for the same thing that the previous one paid for. This is exactly what is intended to check this material. As it turns out, everything is not quite as the developers say.
The main difference of this material from traditional reviews is that there was a clear, formalized business model that the product must pass. The model is not from space, the usual life model. It would seem nothing supercomplex. But…

Traditional reviews are mainly based on the principle of questionnaires or generally based on the feelings of a “writer”. Those who wish to publish such a review, simply sends a list of questions where manufacturers tick. As a result, it turns out that all ERP-systems have a cosmic-level functionality. You go to the forums, read about how this functionality is implemented by specific people and you wonder.
In general, read, draw conclusions.
