Ubuntu 10.10 Alpha 1 released
The alpha version of Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat is now available for download. This is the first of four alpha releases prior to the beta release expected in September.
The first alpha is not much different from the final release of Ubuntu 10.04. However, it contains unstable changes, so it is still undesirable to install it as the main system.

Also note that the final release of Maverick Meerkat itself was postponed to October 10th. Just because of the beautiful tsifer - version 10.10 will be released 2010-10-10.
