The restriction on the use of IEEE 802.11n equipment in Ukraine has been removed

On the website of the National Commission for the Regulation of Communications of Ukraine , it was reported that on May 27, the commission approved changes to the List of radio electronic equipment and radiating devices for which operation no operating permits are required.

The purpose of the changes is to create favorable conditions for users of the radio frequency resource of Ukraine, who provide and receive telecommunication services using modern radio data networks.

In particular, the List includes IEEE 802.11n radio access equipment, the ability to use which without permission will contribute to providing the population with high-speed wireless Internet access both for private purposes and to stimulate further development of WiFi Hotspot networks indoors (hotels, cafes, bars, airports etc.) to provide wireless access services with a maximum data transfer rate of up to 600 Mbps.

In addition, the List includes subscriber stations (terminals) of radio technologies of wireless access to the Internet, including for the needs of special users.
