Modern society is hurt by copywriting. This is a fact, and it is sad. There are people who argue that because of this, firstly, there is IT itself. Secondly, they say that allegedly thanks to this, the creators receive a well-deserved pay and do not die of hunger.
True, I am confused by the fact that IT exists thanks to the urgent needs of society to collect, systematize and process information. And it’s not at all necessary to sell air. This is not the task of the information technology industry.
Yes, and creators - probably not starving to death - but thanks to whether? But in other matters it is not about that and not about that.
Any development and growth is possible only in the conditions of information exchange. Closeness has never helped something to achieve. Only by exchanging information, the products of our creativity, we can exist, and what is very important - to develop.
Based on this, I invite members of the habr-community to take part in a meeting-seminar, which will be held from 19 to 23 July in the Dnipropetrovsk region. I organize this event on two occasions - the first is the decade of one of the resources in which I participate. And the second is what I wrote about above - at present, the free exchange of information is of paramount importance in the field of IT. And it is important not only what happens on large resources and in big companies like Google. Important and necessary steps for the introduction and formation of IT culture in the CIS countries. It is important to show people that there is no dilemma - Windows or Linux. There are tasks that can be solved anyway. And show how they can be solved. Without advertising hype. With choices. Informed choice.
