Dead time to wait, or how the iPhone gave us back three months of life (well, almost)

Data from a recent study in England:
“On a personal date, let's say to friends, people are an average of 47 minutes a week late. Multiply by the number of weeks, and you will get almost 38 hours. It's a day and a half. Over 50 years of active life - almost three months. "

I don’t know how for you, but for me the iPhone (any similar device could be in its place) turned out to be a portable killer of “dead” time - while the wife is dressing, waiting in line for a doctor, in a supermarket, anywhere.

My recipes:
- Reading books / articles, more often articles - it is easier to swallow them whole in 10-15 minutes
- Postponed chess games - you can get out of your pocket and think about the move (the idea is good, but I go in such situations is stupid - chess requires concentration)
- Facebook and Twitter - timeline
- short videos a la TED
- meditation on the list of tasks Things and its sorting
