The first results of the School Project in Nizhny Novgorod
Yesterday, with a small team of 4 people, we conducted the first implementation of the School Linux in a computer class in one of the schools of the Lenin district. The implementation was a comprehensive computer class setup option with 8 student workstations and one teacher computer. The decision included:
Installing and configuring School Junior Linux 5.0.1 on all class computers and teacher’s computer
Setting up shared network resources (network folders) on the teacher’s computer
Tasks Folder is available to students only for reading and intended to post tasks for schoolchildren
Folder Income is writable and intended to transfer the work done to the teacher’s pomputer
Setting up peripheral equipment on the teacher’s computer (scanner and printer)
Configuring graphics cards, monitor resolutions and functional testing of the software included with the School Linux Junior
Setting up Internet access from each computer
Setting up a class management system iTalc
Installing and configuring an Internet access control system based on Squid and Sams
Installing and configuring the internal system MediaWiki for publishing assignments to students
Installation of the registration system and registration of computers on the website of the pilot zones SPO ( spohelp.ru )
Alexander Petrov installs School Linux Junior on teacher’s computer ')
Pavel Klementyev is cloning an already-installed School Linux Junior to the next hard drive
Not all computers are equally useful. We are faced with "broken" modules of RAM, in the fight with which we helped the eraser and toothbrush!
